White Chicken Briyani

Description

It is simple, less spicy chicken briyani.

Ingredients

Bay leaves

3 no

Cardamom

3 no

Elaichi

1 no

Onion (cut lengthwise)

5 no

Cahewnuts

1 tsp

Poppy seeds

200 g

Chicken

3 tbsp

Ginger garlic paste

1 cup

Basmathi rice

1 cup

Coconut milk

1 bunch

Coriander leaves,mint leaves

1 no

Egg

¼ cup

Yogurt(curd)

6 no

Green chilli

Salt (as per taste)

1 T

Ghee

Oil

½ no

Tomato

Instructions

Soak rice for 20 mins in water. Mix cleaned chicken with  curd and some salt . Keep it aside. grind poppy seed and cashewnuts in to thick patse.  Heat oil and some ghee in pressure cooker and add all briyani masalas. Saute Onions, green chillis, tomato. When the color of onions turns brown add ginger garlic paste. Now add tomatos, mint leaves, coridaner leaves  and ground paste saute well, until all the ingredients mix together and the oil starts to separate.Add the chicken pieces mixed with curd and coconut milk. Cook for 10 mins. Stir it for every 2 mins. When chicken is half cooked, add 1/2 cup water and allow it to boil.Drain off the water from the rice and add to the boiling water with salt.Allow it to boil and when the rice gets 75% cooked, add the lime juice and close with the  cooker lid.Simmer the flame and keep it for approximately 10 min(until cooked). Serve hot with raita or mullai's chicken white kurma.

Notes

Instead of chicken you can add veg also
