Quick fix onion chutney, simple and easy.
Ingredients | |

2 nos | Onion (cut into big dices) |
½ cup | Fresh grated coconut |
2 nos | Dry red chillies |
1 MarbleSz | Tamarind |
2 pinch | Mustard |
2 pinch | Split black gram |
4 nos | Curry leaves |
¼ tsp | Salt (or to taste) |
3 tsp | Oil |
Instructions
Heat 2 tsp of oil and fry red chillies and onion until they turn slightly brown. Switch off. Grind onion, red chillies, coconut and tamarind with salt to a paste like consistency. Now again heat the remaining 1 tsp of oil and temper mustard, split black gram and curry leaves. Add this to the chutney and mix. Adjust salt according to your taste. Serve as a side for Idli, dosai or adai.
