    Hi Mullai, My husband loves brocolli. I will give a try this one. TQ. Btw, what is the reason of putting sugar in this recipe?

      Quite surprising to hear that you have broccoli fans at home. Anyway, give it a try, it should please you guys. And about the sugar…. it mainly acts as a flavour enhancer, gives good shine or glaze to the veggie, moreover salt and sugar when cooked together seemed to retain the original colour of the veggie( pardon me…I personally don't know the chemistry behind nor the mystery myth)But it works.

    Dear Mullai, This recipe looks very very tempting…It makes us to try eventhough when one doesn't like broccoli. Its a kind of different recipe. Really appreciated.

    Wow Mullai..Broccoli la paruppu usili..Sounds very new..As u said,this particular veggie lovers r toooo little.I had never thought about it till today(how do u ever get such great ideas????Addhu thaan Mullai !!!)..I have prepared different varieties of paruppu usili but not this..Shall surely give it a try…

      Hi Radha,

      Might look & sound gross, but tastewise it was good. Give it a try, any veggie lover will like it. You can also garnish with grated coconut to make heavenly. Guess what I'm making today?? Beetroot vadai…..my hands are all applied with beetroot-mehendi. Get back to you with the results.
